Course Overview

Leadership Essentials 201: Preparing for Practice is a four-month virtual program designed to help residents and fellows build professional and non-interpretive skills that are often underrepresented in traditional radiology training but essential for success in practice. Participants complete eight self-paced lectures and have the opportunity to join monthly live Q&A sessions with expert faculty, offering a flexible learning experience with opportunities for real-time engagement. The curriculum emphasizes practical, real-world application, focusing on tools that trainees can readily apply in practice, such as understanding the business of radiology, navigating change, and developing effective communication and negotiation skills.

Note: Leadership Essentials is a two-part series consisting of Leadership Essentials 101 and 201, offered in alternating years. Each program features distinct content, and participants are encouraged to complete both. The programs are complementary and do not need to be taken in sequence.
