Radiology Leadership Institute
The RLI is committed to strengthening the radiology leadership community by recognizing the achievements of current leaders and providing scholarships for future ones.
The RLI has collaborated with over 15 chapters to provide financial assistance for residents, fellows and members-at-large to attend RLI programs. Chapters are creating a leadership track for their members. A chapter RLI Scholarship Fund will prepare members for leadership roles, teach essential business skills and much more.
In 2023, Vanderbilt’s Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences announced the launch of a new scholarship that provides financial support for VUMC radiologists to participate in a variety of RLI programs.
Many ACR chapters have enhanced their meetings by featuring RLI speakers. Our speakers are available for virtual, in-person or hybrid events.

This scholarship provides residents and fellows meaningful opportunities to strengthen their leadership confidence, deepen their understanding of the business of radiology, and learn from seasoned experts. It fosters mentorship, cross-disciplinary insight, and a supportive peer community, preparing emerging leaders to navigate a rapidly changing healthcare environment and contribute to the future of radiology.
This award recognizes an individual whose participation in an RLI course or program directly contributed to the successful completion of a meaningful project or initiative within their department, practice or institution.

This award recognizes the lifetime achievements of individuals who have dedicated their careers to advancing the field of radiology or radiation oncology. Renamed in honor of Lawrence R. Muroff, MD, FACR, a founding member of the RLI Board and one of its most influential champions, the award celebrates exceptional leadership, innovation and lasting impact on the profession.
