Read moreThe American College of Radiology® (ACR®) applauds the selection of radiologist Thomas Keane, MD, MBA, as the second Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy (ASTP) and ninth National Coordinator for Health Information Technology within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Dr. Keane is a radiologist with a software development and engineering background. He previously served in multiple posts within HHS, including the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC), where Dr. Keane supported image exchange and reduced physician regulatory burdens.
